Privacy Policy

In short: Helmlet collects nothing. The app runs entirely locally on your Mac.

The Helmlet app

Helmlet processes no personal data. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no telemetry and no tracking. All settings stay local on your device.

On launch the app checks a small text file on our server for a new version (update notice). For technical reasons your IP address is transmitted to the server in the process; no content or identifiers about you are stored. When you activate a license, your license key is sent to our payment/licensing provider (Lemon Squeezy) for verification.

This website (hosting)

The website is served via Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc.). Technically necessary data may be processed in server log files (e.g. IP address, date/time, page requested, browser type). The legal basis is the legitimate interest in secure, functioning operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We use no cookies and no analytics/tracking tool.

Purchase & payment

The sale is handled by the Merchant of Record Lemon Squeezy (or Stripe). Payment, invoicing and tax data are processed there under their privacy terms. We only receive the order data needed to fulfil the purchase.

Your rights

You have the rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR). Contact [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
